Rewriting Your Narrative, Embracing Healing

The power of telling your story, in a safe space, allows us to transform the foreign into the familiar—making the unspeakable speakable. Your narrative and yours alone, can bring you awareness and closure.

Welcome to Healing Narratives Counselling Inc.

Welcome to Healing Narratives Counselling, where your journey to healing begins. We believe in the transformative power of rewriting your story and that healing starts with recognizing and understanding the impacts of trauma. This is why trauma-informed care is the core foundation of our counselling services.

Our approach is holistic, root-cause-focused, and person-centred. We prioritize safety, understanding, and empowerment. Our role is to equip you with the tools needed to build a foundation for healing, helping you rediscover feelings of safety and security within yourself and your relationships.

  • Attachment-based counseling focuses on understanding how an individual's early attachment experiences influence their current interpersonal relationships and behaviors.

These early experiences can shape how one relates to others, affecting their ability to form secure and healthy connections.

Attachment-based counseling aims to address these underlying patterns, promoting the development of healthier, secure attachments. This therapeutic approach often involves exploring past relationship dynamics to enhance self-awareness and adjust maladaptive attachment behaviors, facilitating more fulfilling and secure relationships in the present.

  • Schema therapy is a holistic approach that helps you understand and change deep-rooted patterns or "schemas" that influence your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. These schemas are “negative core beliefs” that form in childhood based on your experiences and can affect how you relate to yourself and others. By identifying and addressing these schemas, we can work together to break negative cycles and develop healthier ways of thinking and coping, leading to more fulfilling and balanced relationships and life experiences.
