Introducing Healing Narratives Counselling Inc.

As I reflect on my journey as a solo mental health practitioner since 2021, I am filled with gratitude for the trust and support that clients have shown me over these past years. Your resilience and commitment to healing have been the driving force behind my practice.

Today, I am thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our journey: the expansion of my solo practice into Healing Narratives Counselling Inc. The mission of Healing Narratives Counselling Inc. is to facilitate healing through trauma-informed counselling, focusing on the root causes and core beliefs that shape our self-perceptions and how we believe others see us.

This transition from solo practitioner to an expanded private practice marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, and I am eager to share with you what lies ahead in the coming months.

Embracing Growth and Expansion

The decision to expand to Healing Narratives Counselling Inc. is rooted in a deep commitment to providing high-quality, personalized care that meets the evolving needs of our clients. Our mission at Healing Narratives is to deliver exceptional mental health services that empower you to overcome trauma, develop secure attachments, and improve your overall well-being. This expansion allows us to enhance our offerings and reach more individuals across Canada with plans to extend our services to the United States.

What to Expect

1. Trauma-Informed Care Services

Our commitment to Trauma-Informed Care Services remains the priority. We aim to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences and begin their healing journey. All staff will have received training in providing trauma-informed services in order to pursue our commitment to providing a safe and supportive healing environment. By integrating various specialized approaches such as Attachment Theory, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Schema Therapy, Systemic, and Somatic approaches, we help individuals rewrite their stories and embrace their most authentic selves.

2. Diverse and Comprehensive Services

Healing Narratives Counselling Inc. will continue to offer the core services that have been integral to my practice, including Individual Counselling and Attachment-Based Couples Counselling. Additionally, we will introduce Workshops and Educational Programs designed to provide valuable tools and insights into trauma healing and mental well-being.

3. Accessibility and Inclusivity

Healing Narratives is dedicated to breaking barriers to mental health access. We are focused on ensuring that our services are accessible to all, regardless of location, background, or financial situation. Our platform will continue to provide a seamless and confidential space for counselling, making it easier for clients to receive the care they need from the comfort of their own homes, or in-person. In-person counselling services are expected to be available in early 2025 for Quebec residents.

4. Continuous Learning and Development

As part of our mission to deliver high-quality care, we are committed to continuous learning and development. Our team will engage in ongoing training and education to stay at the forefront of innovative therapeutic approaches, ensuring that you receive the best possible support on your healing journey.

5. Art Therapy Workshops Utilizing Expressive Arts Therapy for Healing

Art holds a unique power to heal trauma, providing a safe and expressive outlet for individuals to process and communicate their experiences. Through various forms of artistic expression, such as painting, drawing, and sculpture, individuals can access and release deep-seated emotions that may be difficult to express verbally. Starting in early 2025, Art Therapy workshops will be offered both in-person and virtually to make this service more accessible.

Art therapy provides a non-verbal medium to explore and make sense of traumatic events, fostering resilience and promoting emotional healing. Engaging in creative activities can help individuals reconnect with their inner selves, reduce symptoms of trauma, and pave the way for personal growth and recovery.

Looking Ahead

Our vision for Healing Narratives Counselling Inc. is to create a future where every individual has access to high-quality, trauma-informed mental health care. We aspire to be recognized as a leading provider of trauma-informed services, known for our dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion. By expanding our reach and creating a community where trauma healing is understood and valued, we hope to leave a lasting legacy of resilience and well-being.

This transition to Healing Narratives Counselling Inc. is a testament to our shared commitment to healing and growth. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and look forward to continuing this journey with you. Together, we will create narratives of healing and transformation, empowering each individual to live a fulfilling and authentic life.

Thank you for being part of this incredible journey. Your trust and support mean the world to me, and I am honoured to continue serving you through Healing Narratives Counselling Inc.
